Bright, fresh, and incredibly easy to sip, this Sunset Citrus Sangria is packed with juicy oranges, fresh berries, crisp apple, and a splash of citrus. It's the kind of pitcher you bring out on warm evenings, backyard dinners, or cozy nights with friends gathered around the table. Optional Garnishes
Build the Sangria
In a large pitcher, combine the wine, brandy, orange liqueur, orange juice, and maple syrup. Stir well.
Add the Fruit
Add the orange slices, lime slices, chopped apple, strawberries, and berries. Gently stir again.
Chill
Refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours to allow the flavours to develop. Overnight is even better.
Serve
Fill glasses with ice and pour over sangria and fruit. Top each glass with a splash of sparkling water or club soda for brightness.
Melissa's Notes
A dry red wine keeps the sangria balanced and not overly sweet. Freshly squeezed orange juice makes a huge difference in flavour. Letting the fruit sit for several hours gives the sangria its rich citrus flavour. Add peaches or nectarines in the summer for a seasonal twist. For a lighter version, use extra sparkling water when serving.
